Reviews

Lovely old hotel with great features. We both had champagne afternoon tea before attending an event in their marque just next to the hotel. Their afternoon tea was very tasty. The hotel has some really lovely furniture. There isn't a bus stop nearby so either a 15min walk from the nearest bus stop or a taxi is the only option to visit this great hotel.

Me and my partner attended afternoon tea yesterday and honestly the wholw experiemce was heavenly. The food was world class as was the service and warmth from the staff, the fact that they made a great effort for my pregnant partner and her dietry requirements made the experience so enjoyable.

Went for afternoon tea in January 2024. Had been given a voucher for afternoon tea for 2. Nice atmosphere in the house. Eclectic furniture. Afternoon tea was substantial and the scones were delicious. My only negative would be that the staff who were doing the afternoon tea were not always visible so if you needed anything you had to wait for someone to appear.

Came here for festive afternoon tea and cocktails. The food and drink was fabulous. Great choice of real leaf tea. Fresh sandwiches, fruit and plain scone with jam and clotted cream selection of small cakes. Beautifully decorated for Christmas and real log fires. Dog friendly in certain rooms. Was able to charge our car for journey home which saved a stop.

Terrible. Went for Champagne Afternoon tea on a Saturday. Arrived early and was put into a small room to the left and waited. Assumed this was a waiting room as we were early. A waiter finally showed up 20 minutes later and asked if we were there for the afternoon tea and then dropped two menus on the coffee table and walked away.
