Never been here before but I'd certainly recommend it for it's style, elegance and attention to detail.
Four people attended for afternoon tea. Scones and cream as well as the cake stands and little sandwiches beautifully presented an extremely tasty.
Had high tea at The Tavern yesterday for my sisters birthday. It was first class. The food was fantastic, we had booked separate tables and the staff managed to put us on one big table in a separate room which was lovely. A perfect private dining area. Thank you to staff.
Just had a wonderful Traditional Afternoon Tea here. Lovely atmosphere, beautiful sandwiches, cakes, and champagne. The service was exceptional. A really delicious fine dinning restaurant in a historical hotel building. One of the best restaurant in town.

The staff at the king Street tavern were very attentive and helpful. All in all a very enjoyable afternoon. We will return at some point possibly in the summer. Again I'd highly recommend it sampling the experience nice warm welcome on arrival. I said to give it 10 out of 10.
