TĪNG at Shangri-La The Shard – London’s Most Colourful Afternoon Tea with a View
Topping our list is the unforgettable afternoon tea at TĪNG, nestled on the 35th floor of Shangri-La The Shard. It’s not just the dizzying views across London that make this a standout experience. Every detail of TĪNG’s colourful afternoon tea is a visual and culinary celebration.
This venue takes the tradition of cream tea to new heights, literally and creatively. Guests are treated to warm scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, alongside imaginative pastries crafted with seasonal, often themed inspirations. From vibrant summer florals to festive winter palettes, every item on the tier is beautifully presented with colour and precision.
What truly makes TĪNG our number one choice is its seamless blend of stunning skyline views and dynamic, rotating themes. Their seasonal afternoon teas often reflect global influences, think Chinese New Year motifs, cherry blossoms, or tropical flavours, all adding layers of colour, texture, and cultural charm.
The atmosphere is modern yet serene, perfect for both elegant occasions and unique London adventures. With vegetarian options, premium loose-leaf teas, and exceptional service, TĪNG offers not just tea, but an artful, elevated afternoon tea experience that’s quite literally above the rest.
Reviews

I was fortunate enough to stay at this 5 star hotel as one of the highest floors in U.K. The rooms are at the top level and they are incredible. Loving the finishing touches and hotel condition. As it was my wife’s birthday the hotel did make something special in our room and greatly appreciated with this.

Staying at Shangri-La The Shard, London was an unforgettable experience! The panoramic views of the city from our room were simply stunning, and the luxurious attention to detail made our stay feel truly special. The service was impeccable—staff went above and beyond to ensure every need was met.

A great hotel to stay in for its luxury. Highly recommend for the views from the rooms and bars which are incredible- some of the best views in London! Despite the good bars and attractive design the overall feel of the hotel and rooms is quite corporate, it feels like a business hotel.

I recently had the most incredible dining experience at Shangri-La The Shard, London, and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the attentive staff, who ensured every detail of our evening was perfect.

Spent 2 nights here and everything was amazing. We had a slight issue (not hotel fault) but hotel managers dealt with it promptly and professionally. I keep recommending this hotel to all my friends and would not hesitate to come back. Highly recommended.
